Tropical Biddeford Pool
The temperature finally decided to go above freezing so I did what anyone who has lived through a Maine winter would do...go to the beach! With sunny skis, balmy mid-30's temperatures and a view of the coast, one could be forgiven for thinking that they were in the tropics.
Then the north wind kicked up and all of those illusions quickly dissipated. The search was on for a nice section of beach that was in the sun and out of the wind. After walking for a bit, the perfect spot was found.
Nestled among the rocks, I just sat and watched the ocean slowly breath in and out on the shore. The sea weed danced as the water shifted around it. In the distance, a horned grebe dove for lunch and common eiders talked back and forth with each other. It was a lovely was to spend an afternoon.
