After a long, cold, and snowy winter, spring has finally arrived in the woods of Maine. I headed out to the Wolfe's Neck State Park to check out the coastal forest as it started to emerge from winter's slumber. The forest floor was a lush green and the brown tree branches were highlighted in their young, green leaves.
On the drive back home, I passed over a small creek. High above the creek, was an osprey, freshly returned from her winter's vacation. She appeared to be dancing among the clouds as she hovered waiting to spot a fish for her afternoon meal.
